When the Groove Fights Back
Benevolent Sol announces Take My Land, an upbeat, genre-bending anthem that wraps a powerful message in an irresistible dance groove. Distributed via Create Source Media and Sony Music Entertainment's The Orchard, the single offers an early glimpse into the band's forthcoming debut album, if anyone, blame him. Through humor, satire, and razor-sharp lyricism, "Take My Land" confronts themes of displacement, corporate power, and the fight to hold onto home, transforming contemporary struggles into a defiantly joyful sing-along.
Built on the foundation of FUNGE, Benevolent Sol's signature fusion of funk, soul, rock, and experimental sound, the track pairs infectious rhythms, memorable hooks, and masterful musicianship with thought-provoking social commentary. Like the larger world explored throughout the album, Take My Land introduces listeners to a cast of characters whose stories blur the line between modern reality and folklore. The result is a song that makes listeners want to dance before it makes them stop and think.
